FINE ART FAIR in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg
ART & MUSIC
On the occasion of its tenth anniversary,
FINE ART FAIR
invites its visitors to experience a wealth of artworks in different styles, epochs and genres. This prestigious boutique event opens its doors at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg from 1 October to 4 October 2009. Launched under private management in 2000,
FINE ART FAIR
has emerged as one of the most successful international art fairs of its kind. It offers a distinctive appeal and displays a consistently high level of quality.
Nineteen leading international art dealers, several of whom exhibit regularly at TEFAF in Maastricht, are participating. They will be showcasing paintings, fine furniture and objects ranging from antiquities to contemporary art. The aim of the Fair is to present artworks of the highest calibre in a harmonious and elegant setting. The focus is on a visitor-friendly and inviting ambience offering excellent client services. The spacious, open layout of the exhibition with its individual wall elements rather than traditional fair booths offers art collectors and enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy a wealth of objects from different cultures and periods. The Fair is also designed to attract and inspire young visitors who will discover exciting new viewpoints through the interaction of antiques, antiquities and modern art.
This year
FINE ART FAIR
focuses on the Theme of Music. It will pay homage to the celebrated Sammlung Beurmann with its exceptional collection of antique keyboard instruments. The Collection will be on view at the FAIR. A supporting programme of concerts performed on unique historical instruments will be staged in cooperation with Steinway & Sons - the celebrated Hamburg-based manufacturer of musical instruments - and Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, a well-known cultural foundation sponsoring young musicians.
